Our story
Built from the inside out.
The NEST was built because something was missing — not in the people seeking healing, but in the places they were offered to heal.
The founder
A clinician who got tired of watching people heal alone For years, the founder of The NEST watched the same heartbreaking pattern. People would do extraordinary work in therapy. For one hour each week, they felt seen and understood. Then the session ended. And they went back to isolation. For six years, she facilitated live healing communities serving up to 500 survivors weekly. When the platform she worked with chose AI-guided automation over live human facilitation — without member input — she chose to build what her community deserved instead. The NEST was born from a simple conviction: no one should be left without a choice, and no one should be left alone. "The goal is not simply to help you leave. The goal is to help you answer: who was I before I learned to disappear?"

What we believe
01
Hope Is Learned
Hope is not a personality trait. It is a skill — one that can be taught, practiced, and passed on.
02
Healing Requires Connection
Information alone does not sustain recovery. Belonging does. The presence of someone who understands changes the trajectory of healing.
03
Knowledge Reduces Shame
When survivors understand what trauma does to the brain and body, self-blame gives way to self-compassion.
04
Safety Creates Growth
Nothing meaningful can be built in an environment of fear. Psychological safety is the foundation everything else rests on.
05
Authenticity Builds Trust
We do not perform wellness here. We practice it. Honest, imperfect, human engagement is what makes this community real.
06
Healing Creates Legacy
Individual recovery doesn't stop with the individual. When one person heals, families shift, cycles break, generations inherit something different.
07
No One Flies Alone
This is the promise at the center of everything we do. Whatever stage of the journey — no one walks it without community.
Community guidelines
How we hold this space These aren't rules handed down from above. They're the shared agreements that make it possible for everyone here to breathe a little easier.
Safety & Dignity
• Every person deserves to be treated with dignity — including yourself • No shaming, blaming, or minimizing another member's experience • Disagreement is welcome; contempt is not • We do not compare pain or rank suffering • Content that could retraumatize others is shared with care and content warnings.
Privacy & Confidentiality
• What's shared in The NEST stays in The NEST • Do not screenshot, record, or share member content outside the community • You may share your own story anywhere — just not others' • Respect anonymity when members choose it • Do not attempt to contact or identify members outside this space.
Honest, Grounded Sharing
• Share from your own experience — use I statements • Unsolicited advice is rarely as helpful as listening • Witnessing someone's pain without trying to fix it is powerful • Feedback and perspective are welcome when asked for.
Professional Boundaries
• Community Guides are not your therapist — The NEST is not therapy • In a mental health crisis, contact a licensed professional or call 988 • Do not solicit members for outside services or products • No diagnosis of other members, named or implied.
Zero Tolerance
• Harassment, threats, or intimidation — immediate removal • Discriminatory language targeting race, gender, sexuality, disability, or religion • Predatory behavior or grooming of any member • Impersonation of guides or staff.
Staying Grounded
• Take breaks when you need them — this community will be here • Healing is not linear and you don't have to perform progress • Lurking is okay. You don't have to share to belong • If something feels off, tell a Community Steward. "This is a place where you don't have to perform, prove, or hold it all together. Show up as you are."
